How to Introduce?

7 Months +

Chicken can be introduced in the form of simple, comforting soups. Cook chicken with a little water, coriander stalks, a tiny piece of ginger, one clove of garlic, a pinch of pepper, cumin powder, and a couple of curry leaves. Pressure cook for a few whistles and use the clear broth. You can mix this with rice or offer it as is. Once your baby is comfortable, you can start adding very finely shredded, soft chicken to the broth.

8 Months +

At this stage, you can offer more texture. Shredded chicken works well and can be mixed with rice, idli, or dosa. You can also boil or steam chicken, shred it, and add a little lemon or mild herbs like oregano for flavor.

10 Months +

You can start offering soft chicken pieces as finger food. Try pan-frying chicken marinated in curd, turmeric, lemon, and a little pepper in butter. You can also give chicken from curries (washed to remove excess spice) and pair it with regular family foods.soft
